7th Grade through 12th Grade
Glen Ridge High School and Middle School offers a dynamic and diverse program of studies, with a strong focus on college preparation, while also providing students opportunities to explore the arts, technology, and other innovative fields. Beyond academics, they lead both within the school and in the broader community through volunteerism and civic engagement. Glen Ridge High School students spearhead and lead a wide range of clubs, from the Feminism Club to Wellness initiatives, which complement our rigorous academic offerings and interscholastic athletics. With approximately 800 students, GRHS fosters a future-ready environment that nurtures leadership, creativity, and a commitment to community involvement.
3rd Grade through 6th Grade
Ridgewood Avenue School (RAS) serves students in grades 3-6 and marks the first time students from across town, including the three PK-2 schools, come together as a unified school community. With a focus on both academic rigor and developmental growth, teachers guide students through a comprehensive program that supports their learning journey. The school features a makerspace with 3D printers, fostering innovation and creativity, while leadership opportunities-such as roles in the Tech Club-empower students to take ownership of their learning. Unique spaces, including a sensory room and fitness room, further enhance students' well-being and creativity. RAS is home to 550 students.
Pre-K through 2nd Grade
Forest Avenue, Linden Avenue, and Central School are our PK-2 schools, each serving approximately 150 students. These schools emphasize early literacy and numeracy, starting with our well-attended PK program. Across all three buildings, we implement the Capturing Kids' Hearts social-emotional learning approach, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. A core goal is to instill a love of learning in a stimulating, caring, and safe educational setting where students develop not only academic skills but also social, emotional, and behavioral competencies.
